The Position
The Venue Manager will provide leadership to a team of hospitality professionals by:
* Leading from the front, setting the standard for all managers and staff
* Recruiting, inducting and training a group of skilled passionate individuals
* Ensuring rigorous adherence to compliance and safety standards for team members and customers
* Promoting a culture of customer engagement and retention
* Overseeing kitchen operations with the newly appointed Head Chef, focusing on consistency
* Managing food, beverage and labour costs in relation to revenue, and implementing strategies to achieve business targets
* Maintaining a high standard of venue presentation and attention to detail
* Reporting to the Operations Manager and other relevant head office shared services
The Leader
The successful candidate to re-launch and run this venue will be:
* A passionate leader of people; able to build and lead a strong, productive team
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive in the face of challenges
* Confident in their computer skills including Excel
* Excellent at time management and multitasking
* A strong communicator; able to negotiate and build relationships
* Available to work a flexible schedule, to suit the needs of a hospitality business
* Able to deploy their solid understanding of food & beverage costings, stock control and labour cost controls
* Responsible Management of Licensed Venues qualified, and holding a current Approved Manager Licence and Gaming Nominee
The Challenge
Re-launch the existing hospitality venue with the help of the new owners, with a change in direction.
The early days will involve recruiting for all department roles, so this is an exciting opportunity to build and train a team, to help you create the best new hospitality venue in the Maryborough region.
