Assistant in Nursing

We are seeking an Assistant in Nursing to join our team at Freeman House, providing high-quality support to residents and inpatients undergoing alcohol and other drug treatment.
Your Role
Your role is vital in creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where people can focus on their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
* Support daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the clinical team
* Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and related documentation
* Administer medications and treatments under supervision
* Provide reassurance and emotional support to clients and families
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and care protocols
Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent
* AHPRA registration or completion of an approved AIN program
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
* Knowledge of infection control and safe work practices
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
