LOCATION : Canberra, ACT 2600 EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Labour Hire Contract (no leave entitlements) DURATION : 29/04/2024 - 31/10/2024 EXTENSION OPTIONS : Potential to extend the contract for a further 12 months. SALARY : $59 per hour + 11% Super HOURS : Fulltime, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. WFH : Work will be primarily office based. About the Department: Our client established a team to provide means for Australian's to apply for a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA), assess FWA submitted for approval and provide a mechanism for the legislated decision delegates to make a decision and provide and outcome to FWA applicants. About the role: As an APS5 Security Advisor, you will be responsible for providing security vetting services and operations, customer services, capability & coordination, appeals and support and industry liaison. New team members will need to apply the highest level of flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness and initiative and have demonstrable experience in being able to operate in situations of uncertainty and ambiguity to ensure legislative and operational outcomes are achieved. Responsibilities: pre-assessment activities, such as triage and prioritise FWA and the coordination and review of data and documents relevant to FWA processing coordinate within a multidisciplinary team at level to ensure optimal outcomes for complex case management. utilise legal advice to interpret legislation against complex cases and translate this into risk management practices. support the development of risk management processes that underpin the drafting of reports to inform the Director in framing a recommendation to the delegate. undertake analysis of complex cases against relevant open and classified data sources, Strategic Goods List Part 1 and relevant intelligence. identify and respond to stakeholders' information and records management requests and provide timely advice. engage with relevant stakeholders to achieve best practice and where appropriate share complex risk assessments and trend analysis. manage records in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. undertake regular compliance monitoring for systems and practices. In performing these tasks, the Labour Hire Workers are required to comply with relevant Australian Government legislation and polices, Department policy (including Security, Values, WH&S and Emergency and Environmental Management and Security Clearance compliance) and AGSVA Policy, Procedures and Directives.
