What's on offer?
We are seeking a full-time Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our experienced Fleet Workshop in Ormeau. The role involves working Monday to Friday with overtime, nights, and weekends. We offer a competitive hourly rate plus penalties and superannuation.
This position reports to the Maintenance Planner. You will undertake maintenance and repairs on construction and road transport equipment in our Ormeau workshop. Supported by a close-knit team, you'll work on a diverse range of equipment servicing requirements.
Core Responsibilities
* Servicing of plant and equipment, including road transport.
* Fault-finding and repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Ordering parts, diagnosing, and repairing various systems.
* Modifying and upgrading systems for safety and ergonomic compliance.
* Rebuilding components, testing, and commissioning.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience servicing mobile/heavy diesel plant, trucks, heavy machinery, and construction equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators, and loaders.
* Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems, with strong diagnostic skills.
* Ability to complete documentation for repairs and services.
* A proactive work ethic and good organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and Forklift ticket.
