You will be installing, testing, and performing routine and unscheduled maintenance on water and wastewater treatment plants across the region.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work area, can work effectively independently, and contributes positively to a team environment and safety culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will provide electrical and instrumentation services, including scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance, installation, testing, fault finding, repair, and enhancing the reliability of electrical and instrumentation assets in the Water and Wastewater industry. Occasionally, you will provide breakdown and after-hours support services.
Main Duties include:
* Advanced fault finding on PLC, instrumentation, and SCADA equipment
* Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on water/wastewater systems and installing electrical and instrumentation components
* Executing complex isolation and shutdown procedures
* Problem-solving related to water systems, including chemical dosing systems
* Planning work and troubleshooting water industry issues
* Preparing for maintenance projects on isolated assets
Key Skills and Experience:
We seek a Dual Trade qualified electrical candidate, preferably with experience in water supply and wastewater services, capable of repairing and overhauling equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and valves.
This role may involve regional travel within the Perth North Region.
Essential attributes include a strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, hazard identification skills, and effective communication. The following qualifications and licenses are required:
* Electrical Trade and Instrumentation qualification
* Experience in servicing and maintaining water treatment equipment is highly regarded
* Relevant High-Risk Licenses
* W.A ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
