The Role
Teaching and professional supervision focus for postgraduate psychology courses including the Master of Organisational Psychology. Dedicated workload allocation of 40% academic teaching. Unit convening, seminars, marking and professional supervision of applied psychology skills. Non‐traditional component: collaboration with Macquarie University Psychology Clinic (MUPC) and external placement providers to support training of students enrolled in postgraduate professional psychology Masters courses including the MOrg Course.
About You
Qualified person with tertiary and professional qualifications in psychology (PhD preferred). Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and endorsement in Organisational Psychology. Approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, minimum 2 years experience. Knowledge of current APAC requirements. Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring provisional or junior psychologists. Ability to develop and lead scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning in accredited coursework units. Positive engagement, active service and leadership within the psychology profession. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Essential Selection Criteria
* Tertiary and professional qualifications in Psychology (PhD preferred)
* Current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA with endorsement in Organisational Psychology
* Approved as a supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (minimum 2 years experience)
* Knowledge of current APAC requirements for Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in psychology
* Demonstrated experience in training and/or mentoring provisional or junior psychologists
* Ability to develop and lead scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning in accredited coursework units in postgraduate psychology courses
* Demonstrated positive engagement, active service and/or leadership within the psychology profession or discipline outside the higher education academy
* Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to write both academic and industry reports and ability to meet deadlines including at short notice
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to staff and students from all backgrounds
* Ability to work flexibly with academic, professional and administrative teams
