Role overview:
The role will report to the VP Marketing, based in the USA and will [1] lead global product strategy and upstream marketing for our hand & wrist portfolio. You'll drive insight-led new product development, shape our roadmap, and partner cross-functionally to deliver differentiated solutions and market leadership, and own [2] all downstream commercial activities for our OUS commercial footprint incl. Australia, acting as a 'General Manager' OUS.
What you'll do
:
* Own upstream strategy from market insight to concept, claims/data, and launch readiness
* Identify unmet needs, size opportunities, and define customer requirements/design inputs
* Build competitive positioning, pricing, segmentation, and targeting
* Create global strategic growth plans and a robust product roadmap; align with Sr. Leadership and R&D
* Lead cross-functional teams through NPDP; serve as the voice of the customer
* Launch and sell products into both the US and OUS
Experience required
Must-have
* Minimum of 5 years of sales and product management experience, with some exposure to the US market, within orthopaedics, ideally the hand and wrist space
* Good understanding and knowledge of regulatory, QA, and reimbursement processes for Class I–III medical devices
* Minimum of 2 years of experience of upstream marketing (including Product Development)
* The right stamina to work and will to win within a fast-paced start-up environment
Education
* Bachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* Preferred: MBA with focus in Marketing, Strategy, or Healthcare Management
* Advantageous postgraduate study: MS in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering, Health Economics/Outcomes Research, or Data Analytics
* Formal product management training and Project/program credentials
* Regulatory/quality coursework or certificates beneficial (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA/CE MDR fundamentals)
* Health economics and reimbursement education a plus (HEOR, market access, pricing)
* Data/analytics proficiency: coursework or certificates in statistics, Excel modelling, SQL.
* Marketing research and strategy certifications (e.g., AMA PCM, Nielsen/Insights) valued
