Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for aSpeech Pathologist – Grade 3based in Waurn Ponds, Geelong.
This is a permanent part-time role working 22.8 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Assess, evaluate and provide client-centred intervention to patients with swallowing and communication impairments in a hospital setting.
Lead and supervise Grade 2 and Casual Speech Pathologists, AHA's and students.
Provide evidence-based, patient-centred care and collaborate confidently within the multidisciplinary team.
Apply strong knowledge of swallowing and communication disorders to improve patient health and quality of life.
Manage time, solve problems and prioritise efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist.
Experience administering and interpreting Swallowing Video Fluoroscopy.
Background in a hospital, rehabilitation or community setting.
Experience in tracheostomy management (preferred).
Experience in administering and interpreting Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (preferred).
Hold a Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent degree.
Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and participation in the Professional Self-Regulation (PSR) program.
