Who are you?
10+ years in a hands-on role in the data and technology industry
Experience in data architecture and solution design for modern data platforms
Previous consulting experience within enterprise environments
2+ years' experience in a senior hands-on data engineering role, leading technical teams
At least one of the following AWS certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (or relevant replacement)
AWS Certified Database – Specialty
Preferred (but not required) certifications include Snowflake SnowPro or Databricks Lakehouse.
Technical Skills
AWS Expertise
Proficiency in AWS data, analytics and AI/ML services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, SageMaker, Glue, Bedrock and Amazon Q.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed data platforms and AI/ML models on AWS.
Data Engineering and Architecture
Strong background in ETL processes, data warehousing and data lakes.
Experience with data architecture, ensuring data quality, governance and security.
Knowledge of large-scale data migrations.
Machine Learning and AI
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration with AWS services.
Ability to build, train and deploy machine learning models on AWS.
Business Acumen
Ability to connect data, analytics and AI solutions to measurable business outcomes.
Experience developing data strategies that align with business goals.
Problem-Solving
Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex data-related problems.
Ability to design scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Customer Engagement
Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts and business leaders.
Experience conducting training sessions, deep architectural discussions and cloud acceleration programs.
Thought Leadership
Ability to educate customers on best practices for advanced data, analytics and AI solutions on AWS.
Experience authoring customer-facing content such as whitepapers and blog posts.
Presales
Leadership in presales (EOI, RFI, RFP) activities, presenting solutions to clients and answering technical questions in a pre-sales environment.
