Foot Care Specialist Role
The role of the Foot Care Specialist is to provide best practice and culturally safe care to patients with Diabetic foot concerns or complications in a remote region. Working across various clinics, this specialist will be a central triaging point for secondary care services related to Diabetic foot issues.

As a Foot Care Specialist, you will assess and intervene with individuals living with diabetic foot problems. You will work closely with partner organizations to coordinate client treatment objectives.
Responsibilities include providing timely care to patients, referring them to appropriate services, and offering pre- and post-care follow-up for wound management and minor/major amputations. In collaboration with a Health Promotion Officer, you will contribute to report development according to established requirements. Building effective relationships with external service providers is essential to ensure smooth delivery of required services and track progress towards agreed outcomes.
Key Requirements:
* Expertise in current foot care techniques, including wound management
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
* Strong interpersonal skills for liaison, reporting, and coordination at various levels
* Willingsness to travel extensively throughout the region, including overnight stays away from home
* Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
