About The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager and Package Managers, the Construction Superintendent is responsible for supporting the delivery of the McPhee Creek minesite construction project. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination and execution of civil earthworks, site works, NPI works, handover, stakeholder engagement, and project closeout. The Construction Superintendent will be supported by construction supervisors, HSE, environmental, and engineering departments.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in Mining Project Execution, including engineering and Contractor Management.
Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Construction Supervisor and Superintendent or in management roles.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Contractor Management.
Technical knowledge and delivery experience in civil earthworks, NPI, and infrastructure construction.
Understanding of and compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems.
Current Driver’s Licence.
Ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical, including DAS.
National Police Clearance.
Full Australian Working Rights.
Ideally based in Western Australia and available to start within the next month.
Responsibilities:
Lead project delivery through effective project management, scheduling, issue resolution, and stakeholder consultation.
Assist Project Engineers in developing project execution plans, schedules, contracting, and staffing strategies.
Participate in Safety in Design reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety-focused activities.
Investigate, report, and document all incidents and safety issues.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and coordinated project delivery with minimal disruption.
Collaborate with contractors to develop plans and deliver solutions for successful project outcomes.
Communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders through meetings, written communications, and other channels.
