Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our team in a professional misconduct role. This is a 12-month fixed term position that offers an opportunity to work closely with a Legal Advisor and contribute to the management of litigated matters, including disciplinary proceedings and appeals.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures within a regulatory and statutory framework. They will also be confident navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks, and have experience in conducting legal research from primary and secondary sources.
As a key member of our team, the Lawyer will assist in the preparation and management of litigated disciplinary and appeals matters, conduct legal research, draft clear and high-quality legal advice, and engage with internal stakeholders and external parties such as legal counsel and tribunals.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
* Admission as a legal practitioner
* Sound understanding of administrative law and governance in a regulatory or statutory context
* Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures
* Knowledge of court and tribunal practice and procedure
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
