The PO2 Program Delivery Officer position is based in Cairns. The successful applicant will ensure a high level of community safety through the coordination and delivery of approved general and / or sexual offending programs to those offenders assessed as requiring offender intervention programs.Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Community Corrections is divided into seven regions each with a number of district offices and reporting centres. Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending.In This Role You WillParticipate in planning activities to ensure offenders have timely access to appropriate programs and interventionsPrepare offenders for offender intervention programsEnsure offender program activities are consistent with evidence-based practiceDeliver offender intervention programs in accordance with operational plansProvide advice to relevant officers regarding offender program suitability and/or other interventionsMonitor progress of offenders during programs and related activities and report on progressComply with program management procedures, standards and guidelinesIdentify and respond appropriately to risks arising from offender managementMaintain own level of knowledge of contemporary offender programs research and practices, and legislation, policy and procedures in relation to offender managementParticipate in case management activities as required for offenders assessed as requiring program participationProvide timely information to relevant sites in relation to each offender's participation in programs for case managementMonitor offender management files and programs to ensure continuity and consistencyComply with program management procedures, standards and guidelinesEnsure records and information data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS) are accurate and currentEnsure maintenance, accuracy and appropriateness of records and intervention reports for appropriate authoritiesMaintain program dataAdminister appropriate assessments to offendersAnalyse assessment results and record informationProvide timely information to relevant areas in relation to offender's assessmentProvide advice to relevant officers regarding offender program suitability and/or other intervention activitiesContribute to case management and sentence management activities for offendersEnsure records and information data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS) and the Offender Programs Assessment Service (OPAS) are accurate and currentParticipate in team meetings and other activities within the officeEnsure the safety and security of self and othersEnsure the security and confidentiality of QCS property and information.Occupational group Community Care
