Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Health, Safety & Training professional to lead our safety management efforts. As our Safety and Risk Management Lead, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that cultivate and sustain a culture of continuous improvement in safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Influence and support colleagues to achieve our vision of zero harm.
* Develop and implement effective safety management plans, leveraging your 'hands on' approach and leadership skills.
* Motivate employees to take ownership of health & safety across all levels of the project.
* Oversee a team of Health, Safety and Training professionals, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and in line with legislation.
* Lead the development of a positive safety culture on site, ensuring the safety of all personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar position, with extensive experience in an operational mining environment.
* A minimum of a diploma in OHS, with tertiary qualifications in safety or a related field highly regarded.
* Extensive experience working with workers compensation, risk management, and incident investigations.
* Ability to influence and implement strategic change.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively.
