Overview
We're currently acting on behalf of our leading Defence Prime client who are seeking a skilled Configuration & Data Management Officer to join their delivery team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the integrity and control of complex defence systems that combine hardware and software solutions.
You’ll contribute directly to programs that support the Australian Defence Force, working within a collaborative and highly experienced project environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement configuration and data management plans and processes in alignment with ASDEFCON requirements.
- Manage program tools, information systems, and bills of materials.
- Maintain design data, technical baselines, engineering changes, and approved configurations.
- Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, including tracking Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Prepare for and participate in technical design reviews and audits.
- Capture and report on Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) information.
- Safeguard the integrity of the configuration workplace through regular audits.
- Apply controls to ensure security, export compliance, and intellectual property protection.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in configuration management within an ASDEFCON environment.
- Strong understanding of industry configuration management standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, explain, and resolve issues across stakeholders.
- Capable of mentoring and guiding less experienced professionals.
- NV1 security clearance or above highly preferred
