Job Description
As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, testing, and implementing changes to network security infrastructure.
This role requires strong hands-on experience in complex IT environments, ideally within the financial sector. You must be able to work well both independently and in teams, and adapt to changing business needs.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware, systems, and software for networks. They should also be able to monitor, troubleshoot, and report on network and security performance, as well as identify, analyze, and manage risk at every aspect of work.
Key responsibilities include securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access, and providing technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other business stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong hands-on experience in Next-gen enterprise firewalls (Juniper SRX and Fortigate) with focus on firewall configuration, build, routing, and security policy analysis and compliance.
* Experience in developing low-level design documents for enterprise security architecture, load balancing design, build, and implementation (F5 – LTM, GTM, APM), building proxies, and authentication profiles.
* Enterprise switching and routing configuration experience (BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, VTP, BFD) IPS/IDS policy configuration, implementation, and events analysis.
* Exposure and working knowledge of logging platforms like elastic and splunk, as well as monitoring tools like Netscout, Solarwinds, Thousand-eyes, and Accedian.
* Automation and scripting skills using python, json, ansible, etc., with relevant industry certifications preferred.
