The Opportunity

As Strategic Growth Lead, you'll own a senior net‐new partner acquisition mission across the Australian market identifying and winning strategic partners.

This is a Director level pure hunter (BD) role. You'll assess the Australian market end‐to‐end, define the target list, engage senior stakeholders (including boards), and navigate longer, multi‐stakeholder sales cycles to close complex agreements.

What You'll Do

* Assess the Australian partner market end‐to‐end: identify segments, whitespace, and the highest‐value strategic partner targets.
* Build and execute a strategic target plan for large partners and system integrators, opening doors through your network and smart market mapping.
* Win and onboard new strategic partners into Pax8's ecosystem, positioning Pax8 as the best‐fit marketplace partner.
* Lead complex, multi‐stakeholder deals: discovery, value proposition, commercial structure, negotiation, and close.
* Influence senior stakeholders (C‐suite/GM level and board‐level decision makers) with patience, credibility, and strong executive storytelling.
* Collaborate effectively: bring internal teams along on deals, share context early, and drive alignment across stakeholders—no lone‐wolf selling.
* Provide market intelligence back to the business on competitor activity, pricing dynamics and partner sentiment.
* Identify co‐sell and ecosystem activation opportunities in collaboration with our top vendor partners including Microsoft and Google.
* Represent Pax8 at industry events, partner forums and vendor partner days to build brand presence in the large system integrator segment.

What You'll Bring

* Director‐level sales / partnerships background with proven success hunting and landing large, complex deals (including strong negotiation and pipeline management capability).
* Enterprise or mid‐market experience (vs. SMB), with confidence engaging C‐level leaders and influencing board‐level decisions.
* Strong understanding of market trends within SaaS, cloud, channel, and technology ecosystems.
* A proven collaborative style able to run a V‐team, create alignment, and bring internal stakeholders into the deal journey.
* A well‐established industry network you can activate to accelerate strategic partner conversations.
* Commercial sharpness: you can structure a deal, craft a value case, and land agreements that work for everyone involved.
* Strong leadership and coaching ability, skilled at developing others to achieve high performance.
* Familiarity with distribution, marketplaces, partner ecosystems, system integrators, and licensing/CSP models.
* Highly organised and detail‐oriented, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
* Willingness to travel to support partner engagement and market development.
