About the role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior/Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Bread In Common in Fremantle, Western Australia. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef to contribute to the ongoing success of our popular restaurant.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
* Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to our menu specifications
* Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment
* Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met
* Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff
* Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
* Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
What we're looking for
* At least 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
* A passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
* Strong time management and organisational skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage and mentor kitchen staff
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
* Qualifications in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related field are highly desirable
