Tug Engineer Job Summary
As a Tug Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all technical and mechanical aspects of tug vessels within the operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Control: Direct control of all engineering aspects of the vessel's operations & maintenance
* Regulatory Compliance: Maintain the vessel in accordance with regulations, ensuring all surveys are current and up-to-date
* Coordination: Liaise with the Master regarding the condition of the vessel's propulsion & ancillary systems
* Task Management: Ensure planned maintenance tasks are completed, and any other online/paper-based system is updated when tasks have been carried out
* Safety and Quality: Follow safe working procedures, operating procedures, and guidelines supporting a safe work environment and should be fully conversant with all Safety, Quality, Pollution Control and contingency planning manuals and statutory regulations governing their responsibilities in the engine room and in general
