About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Grill Chef to join our kitchen team at ONDA Bar & Eatery. You'll be responsible for running the grill section during service, delivering consistently high-quality dishes, and working closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their cooking, and understands the importance of food quality, timing, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and manage the grill section during service
* Prepare and cook meats, seafood, and vegetables to specification
* Ensure consistency in portioning, presentation, and flavour
* Assist with prep work and mise en place as required
* Work collaboratively with Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team
* Minimise wastage and follow stock control procedures
* Maintain cleanliness of grill station and kitchen equipment
* Support special dietary requirements (including gluten-free procedures, if applicable)
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Grill Chef, Cook, or similar role
* Strong understanding of grilling techniques and temperature control
* Ability to work under pressure during busy services
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Reliable and punctual

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
