Our client SULOCHANA RANA PTY LTD T/A GINGER INDIAN GOURMET, a busy Indian Restaurant is looking for an experienced and skilled Indian Curry & Tandoor chef with a professional approach and skilled in managing and preparing various dishes from the North Indian and South Indian cuisine.Number of Chef job opening : 1You will be required to do the following tasks & duties:Set up workstations with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipmentPreparation and cooking of all curries and tandoori entrees and mains.Cook all kinds of Indian subcontinental cuisine i.e. south and north Indian food, curry’s etc.Provide training & supervision and coordinate activities of kitchen staffs and other cooks.Maintain Stock rotation, food safety & minimising wastageDaily, Weekly & Monthly cleaning of kitchen and storeroomEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyTracking food cost of the dishes.Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchenContribute to Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs.Organise the supplies of the restaurant including Dairy, Meat, Vegetables, and other Groceries.Ensuring all food operations are compliant with relevant regulations and COVID safety managementSkills Required:Must have full-time working experience in Indian KitchenMust have good knowledge of Indian CurriesMust have good knowledge of Tandoori Cuisine – All tikkas, kebab, naan and rotisCook in a fast-paced kitchen whilst maintaining effective communication with the teamGood working knowledge of safety & Hygiene, and WHS standardsTeam player with a passion to serve authentic Indian cuisine of excellent standardQualifications/Experience Required:Have an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate IV in Cookery & Hospitality.At least 2 years of culinary experience in Indian cuisine in a commercial kitchenHave a passion for food and enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment.If this is the opportunity you have been looking for, click APPLY NOW and send a copy of your cover letter and resume to jobs@jojo-international.com.au.Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
