Apprentice Painter & Decorator (1st - 4th Year)
About the Role We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice to join our painting and decorating team based in Rye. This is a full-time position where you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the trade while completing your Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
What You Will Learn & Do:
* Preparation: Professional sanding, filling, scraping, and washing of surfaces.
* Application: Mastering brushes, rollers, and spray equipment for high-end finishes.
* Site Setup: Safely setting up drop sheets, masking, and scaffolding.
* Decorative Finishes: Assisting with stains, varnishes, and specialized coatings.
* Site Maintenance: Cleaning tools and ensuring a professional workspace.
What We Are Looking For:
* Passion: A genuine interest in starting a long-term career in the trade.
* Reliability: Punctuality is non-negotiable—we need you on-site when the day starts.
* White Card: Must have (or be willing to get) your OHS White Card immediately.
* Transport: Valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle is preferred.
* Attitude: Eager to learn, takes direction well, and works hard.
