As the Material Program Manager, you will be accountable for the development, coordination and execution of supply chain strategies, including, procurement, warehousing and distribution, and supplier management. You will integrate supply and demand management across multifunctional capabilities to establish and execute a coordinated plan to deliver supply chain requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Liaise between multiple functions to deliver supply chain requirements and manage supplier performance.
- Lead the development, coordination, and execution of the supply chain strategy and program plans to achieve program requirements and ensure program performance.
- Manage the definition of requirements and development of the bill of materials for programs, including cross-functional inputs.
- Lead the development of supply chain proposals, including statement of requirement, bases of estimates, and identification of opportunities for Australian Industry Capability and indigenous engagement.
- Lead planning and implementation of negotiation strategies.
- Develop, deploy and provide guidance in relation to supply chain governance arrangements, including effective supplier due diligence, supplier performance management, supplier relationship management, and inventory and warehousing controls, distribution (shipping and receiving) arrangements, and implementation of supply chain business systems, ensuring that these are aligned with company requirements.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience.
- Requires deep knowledge of supply chain management and stakeholder engagement
- A specialty within the Supply Chain Management - procurement, sourcing, material supply or supply support disciplines would be viewed favourably.
- A broad knowledge of project management is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in Australian Defence industry
- A self-motivated team player who is able to work independently with limited oversight.
- An ability to influence parties at an operational level to achieve objectives within a compliance framework.
