THE OPPORTUNITY
A rare regional leadership opportunity Opportunities like this are exceptionally rare in regional Australia.
This role offers the chance to lead a community-owned organisation at a critical stage of maturity and influence to shape strategy, strengthen partnerships, and guide long-term outcomes for education, workforce development and regional growth across the Spencer Gulf of South Australia.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide visible, grounded leadership across the Spencer Gulf, strengthening partnerships, supporting a high-performing team and ensuring Uni Hub continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for students and communities.

ABOUT UNI HUB SPENCER GULF
Uni Hub Spencer Gulf is a community-owned, place-based tertiary education hub established by local civic and industry leaders to improve access to higher education across the region.
Created in direct response to regional need, Uni Hub enables people to study locally while supporting workforce development and the long-term growth of the Spencer Gulf.

The organisation works in close partnership with universities, industry, schools and local government and has built a strong reputation for trust, credibility and community connection through its relational, student-centred approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & LEADERSHIP PRIORITIES Champion Uni Hub's mission, values and community purpose
Lead as a regionally embedded CEO with strong local connection, credibility and lived understanding of the Spencer Gulf
Lead, develop and empower a regional team through relational, values-led leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with councils, industry, education partners and community stakeholders
Provide strategic and operational leadership focused on refinement, clarity and sustainable growth
Ensure fit-for-purpose governance, systems and internal capacity that support staff wellbeing and organisational maturity
Advocate for regional education pathways and student outcomes across government, industry and community
Identify and progress innovative social enterprise opportunities aligned to regional needs ABOUT YOU
You are a respected, regionally connected leader with senior executive leadership experience and the maturity to lead an established organisation through its next phase.
You bring strong, practical governance capability, sound judgement in complex regional environments, and a genuine commitment to place-based education and workforce development.
Your leadership is grounded, collaborative and values-aligned, with credibility built through trust, consistency and local connection.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Regional travel and out-of-hours work required
Working With Children Check and Police Clearance required
