1300apprentice has an opportunity for a motivated individual to complete a Cabinet Making apprenticeship with a fantastic host employer based across the ACT. This host specialises in cabinet making for custom joinery items like, kitchens, wardrobes, TV/Fireplaces, bookcases, BBQ and outdoor joinery, even vanities and bathrooms. 
During this 4-year apprenticeship you will gain experience in all aspects of cabinet making, learning from qualified and skilled cabinet makers. You will also complete a Certificate III in Cabinet Making through CIT. 
Duties that you will be responsible for include: 
Fabricate kitchens, wardrobes, TV/Fireplaces, bookcases, BBQ and outdoor joinery, even vanities and bathrooms. 
Read and interpret drawings 
Use computer aided design 
CNC and manual machining to produce quality cabinet components 
Measurements and calculations 
Prepare surfaces for finishing 
Using machinery, power and hand tools. 
Pre-requisites: 
Driver's licence and own transport 
Experience using basic hand tools 
White Card, Asbestos Awareness + 10830NAT Silica Awareness (can be obtained during interview process).
