1300apprentice has an opportunity for a motivated individual to complete a Cabinet Making apprenticeship with a fantastic host employer based across the ACT. This host specialises in cabinet making for custom joinery items like, kitchens, wardrobes, TV/Fireplaces, bookcases, BBQ and outdoor joinery, even vanities and bathrooms.
During this 4-year apprenticeship you will gain experience in all aspects of cabinet making, learning from qualified and skilled cabinet makers. You will also complete a Certificate III in Cabinet Making through CIT.
Duties that you will be responsible for include:
- Fabricate kitchens, wardrobes, TV/Fireplaces, bookcases, BBQ and outdoor joinery, even vanities and bathrooms.
- Read and interpret drawings
- Use computer aided design
- CNC and manual machining to produce quality cabinet components
- Measurements and calculations
- Prepare surfaces for finishing
- Using machinery, power and hand tools.
Pre-requisites:
- Driver's licence and own transport
- Experience using basic hand tools
- White Card, Asbestos Awareness + 10830NAT Silica Awareness (can be obtained during interview process).
