We are seeking a senior Strategic Planning Consultant to provide high‐level professional and technical ICT services within the Department of Defence. In this role, you will play a critical part in a major capability transformation program, supporting the alignment of organisational demand, structure and future strategies.
You will represent organisational interests in technical forums while delivering SME advice to Defence leadership across programme management, capability development and long‐term planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and shape the future planning of upcoming projects, requirements and long‐term capability strategies.
* Facilitate the implementation of enterprise strategies through dedicated implementation plans and strategic working groups.
* Drive the ongoing alignment and coordination of activities across service management ways of working, target ICT operating models and network sustainment plans.
* Engage closely with diverse Defence stakeholders to ensure national and international strategy developments are captured and leadership is updated on progress.
* Cohere strategic inputs and outputs from a variety of local and international forums to directly inform broader organisational developments.
Technical Skill & Experience
* A minimum active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance is mandatory.
* Relevant certifications, qualifications and proven experience in ICT strategic planning and future capability mapping.
* A strong understanding of Data‐Centric Security, Zero Trust frameworks, architectures and standards.
* Demonstrated ability to engage directly with national and international stakeholders to lead and contribute to the production of complex strategic artefacts.
