Job Title: SAP BTP Integration Specialist (with Groovy Script Expertise) and Federal Government Clearance
The Opportunity: We are seeking a talented and experienced SAP BTP Integration Specialist with strong proficiency in Groovy Scripting to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting and maintaining robust integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. Your expertise in Groovy scripting will be crucial for developing custom logic, data transformations, and enhancing integration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Integration Solution Design & Development:
o Design and develop end-to-end integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite (formerly CPI/Cloud Integration)
o Implement various integration patterns (e.g., synchronous, asynchronous, message queuing, publish-subscribe)
o Utilize adapters such as OData, SOAP, REST, SFTP, JDBC, IDoc, and others as required
o Develop custom Groovy scripts for complex data mappings, transformations, validations, error handling, and business logic within integration flows
o Work with various message formats including XML, JSON, CSV, and flat files
* Technical Leadership & Best Practices:
o Promote and enforce best practices for integration development, security, performance, and monitoring within the SAP BTP Integration Suite
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration methodologies and standards
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
* Troubleshooting & Support:
o Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of integration solutions
o Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to recurring problems
o Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing integration landscapes
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
o Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business analysts, SAP module experts, and external system owners to gather requirements and define integration specifications
o Translate business requirements into technical integration designs
o Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
o Document integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures
* Security & Compliance:
o Ensure all integration solutions adhere to security best practices and company compliance policies
o Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI), including design, development, deployment, and monitoring of integration iFlows
* Strong proficiency in Groovy Scripting for developing custom logic, data manipulation, and enhancing integration scenarios within SAP BTP Integration Suite
* Solid understanding of various integration patterns and protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, AMQP, JMS)
* Experience with API management principles and tools
* Familiarity with SAP ECC/S/4HANA integration points and data models (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs)
* Proficiency in working with different data formats (XML, JSON, CSV, Flat Files)
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Experience in Application Support and Maintenance projects with understanding of ITSM processes including Incident and Change Management
Desirable Skills
* Experience with other SAP BTP services (e.g., CAP, BAS, Event Mesh, Workflow, Business Rules)
* Experience with other SAP Integration Toolsets like SAP PI
* Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, Performance Forms
* Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript)
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration development
* SAP certifications related to integration or SAP BTP
