**Business Development Manager / Sales Representative** to join the team and sell software solutions to clients in the horticulture industry. As a hunter for sales, you will be responsible for all new business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the horticulture industry, particularly with growers and farmers.
- Generate leads through networking, trade shows, cold-calling, and other means.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations of our software solutions.
- Negotiate and close sales deals.
- Collaborate with our product development and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
**Requirements**:
- Proven track record of successful sales experience in the horticulture industry or fresh produce.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in speaking and presenting to all clients from farmers to operations managers up to CEO and GM.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as this role will see you away from home frequently visiting clients from Tasmania to Darwin and more.
