With the introduction of the Scam Prevention Framework (SPF) and a heightened regulatory environment, the Group is strengthening how it operates across the fraud and scams domain. The Fraud & Scams Strategy, Governance and Enablement team serves as the connective layer across the Group - providing horizontal leadership across Retail Bank, Business Bank, and key enterprise partners to shape priorities, influence decisions, and drive delivery of the Group’s fraud and scams strategy and roadmap. This team complements the work of our technology and engineering crews, the Industry Intelligence and Disruption team, the Fraud & Scams Response Centre, and CDAO, while remaining distinct in its focus. Its role is to bring clarity, consistency, and momentum across the domain through strategy, governance, policy alignment, risk stewardship, and enablement. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team responsible for helping the Group respond to a rapidly evolving scams landscape by strengthening strategic alignment, governance maturity, and execution discipline. Do Work That Matters As Senior Manager, Fraud & Scams Governance & Enablement, you will help provide the horizontal leadership needed to connect priorities, governance, and execution across the fraud and scams domain. Working as part of the Fraud & Scams Strategy, Governance and Enablement team, you will influence decision-making across the Group and key enterprise stakeholders, strengthen alignment to the Group fraud and scams strategy and roadmap, and support disciplined delivery of fraud and scams outcomes in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. This role sits within the Fraud & Scams Strategy, Governance and Enablement function and contributes to the team’s broader mandate across: Group-wide fraud and scams strategy SPF and regulatory alignment P olicy and framework alignment Ri sk stewardship and RMD alignment R oadmap oversight and prioritisation G overnance, reporting, and executive engagement B usiness enablement and stakeholder coordination You will be responsible for ensuring Business Banking priorities are well represented in the Group fraud and scams agenda, while also helping connect initiatives, forums, decisions, and actions across the wider enterprise. Sydney preferred, but open to other locations. In this role you will Own the governance operating rhythm for the Fraud & Scams Strategy, Governance and Enablement function. Lead RMD alignment and enablement across the fraud and scams domain. Support Risk Steward responsibilities, including guidance on risk identification, assessment, controls, governance and reporting. Provide risk expertise across strategy, policy, program delivery, issues, incidents, regulatory uplift and executive reporting. Lead preparation and coordination of Non-Financial Risk Committee papers for the Fraud & Scams domain. Ensure NFRC papers are supported by clear risk framing, RMD alignment, evidence, controls, issues, mitigations, emerging exposures and decision points. Coordinate inputs from Strategy, Program, Policy, Insights, Liability, Change and Governance Managers for NFRC materials. Maintain alignment between NFRC reporting, fraud and scams governance forums, RMD deliverables and Risk Steward responsibilities. Oversee fraud and scams governance forums, ensuring clear agendas, papers, decisions, actions, evidence and escalation pathways Ensure fraud and scams governance is connected to RMD obligations, risk reporting, regulatory expectations and policy requirements. Oversee governance inputs for board, executive, regulatory and risk committee materials. Coordinate governance and risk inputs into the QBR, including risk themes, open issues, control gaps, committee decisions and escalations. Ensure KRs, targets and scorecard outcomes are reviewed through the appropriate governance rhythm. Partner with the Data Insights SM to ensure performance insights, trends and emerging risks are visible in governance forums and NFRC papers. Support Big Room Planning by identifying risk, control, governance, RMD or evidence requirements that must be considered in delivery plans. Identify risk themes, control gaps, emerging exposures and areas requiring escalation or remediation. Ensure governance records, decision logs, evidence and action tracking are maintained to a high standard. Manage the Scams Strategy, Governance and Enablement Manager and Fraud Strategy, Governance and Enablement Manager, ensuring consistency of governance standards across both domains. We’re interested in hearing from people who Bring strong experience in governance, strategy, risk, fraud, scams, business management, or enablement within financial services or another complex, highly regulated environment. Have proven ability to work across a large and complex stakeholder landscape, influencing priorities and aligning multiple teams toward shared outcomes. Can connect strategy to execution, translating broad priorities, frameworks, and regulatory expectations into clear plans, actions, and business deliverables. Have strong governance capability, including preparing executive-quality papers, packs, briefings, updates, and presentations for senior stakeholders. Are confident operating across both strategic and operational horizons - able to step back to see the bigger picture while also driving detail, follow-through, and delivery. Understand risk management and governance disciplines, with the ability to identify issues, dependencies, and uplift opportunities across a portfolio of work. Bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex fraud and scams topics for a range of audiences. Have strong relationship management skills and are effective at bringing together business, risk, and delivery stakeholders across organisational boundaries. Are comfortable working in ambiguity and can create clarity, structure, and momentum in an evolving environment. Have a strong customer and business lens, with an appreciation for the role education, communication, and frontline enablement play in scam prevention. Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and accountability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes at pace. Have a genuine interest in fraud and scams and are motivated by strengthening the Group’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to emerging threats.
