About Us
BlendED National is a new and exciting initiative of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), providing flexible, inclusive online education for young people who are unable to access traditional schooling. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team, our program supports trauma‐informed, relationship‐based learning that prioritises safety, connection, and individualized support.
Our Team
The first school in Hobart is supported by a newly formed team including a Principal, Program Directors, Teachers, and Youth Workers.
The Role
The School Psychologist will support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development of students by conducting early screenings, completing initial assessments, and coordinating referrals to external services when required.
Employment
Ongoing; Part time (0.6 FTE). Commencement ASAP, 2026.
Salary
Classified under the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024. Salary will be in line with the Wellbeing Salary Schedule, Level 4 – Level 5, ranging from $97,503 to $118,560 (pro rata), plus salary packaging and superannuation. A company vehicle is provided for home‐to‐site and regional travel requirements.
You will need
* Commitment to our Operating Principles: Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal, Honesty.
* Degree‐level or higher tertiary qualification in Psychology.
* Full registration with AHPRA.
* At least 4 years of experience as a registered psychologist, ideally in an educational or child/youth mental health setting.
* Strong skills in performing educational and clinical assessments for ADHD and Autism.
* Valid Working with Vulnerable People check or ability to obtain.
* National Police Check certificate issued within the last six months.
* Appropriate Australian Work Rights.
* Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
* Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to drive school vehicles when required.
* Experience with psychological assessments relevant to school settings, including learning, behavioural, and social‐emotional screening tools.
* Ability to work effectively with vulnerable young people using trauma‐informed approaches that foster resilience and support diverse needs.
* Previous experience supporting or leading an organization's commitment to being a child‐safe organization.
