The iconic Adare Camp and Caravan Park, located in Victor Harbor, is a ministry of the Uniting Church in South Australia and aims to provide exceptional Christian hospitality to church and school groups, community organisations and function guests.
An opportunity exists for a casual Kitchen Hand to work within a well-established and highly capable team of food-service staff.
The Kitchen Hand role is an important part of the Adare food-service team and has an emphasis on assisting with the provision of healthy, appetising and well-presented meals to assist Uniting Venues SA to provide exceptional Christian hospitality.
Reporting to the Adare Head Cook, the key tasks of the kitchen hand include:
* Assist in the preparation and service of appetising and nutritious meals in accordance with current hygiene standards
* Clear, wash and pack away dishes and associated kitchen equipment
* Maintain knowledge of WHS issues related to kitchen operations as well as the organisations policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will be required to have demonstrated experience in a similar food service role in either the hospitality or related industry, including:
* Ability to work productively and positively in a team environment
* Demonstrated commitment to excellence in food and customer service
* An understanding of the various needs of guests with the accommodation or hospitality industry.
Experience within the camping and conference centre industry will be highly regarded. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are necessary in this role, as is a willingness to support the ethos of the Uniting Church.
