HEAD OF SOCIAL
Kitchen Warehouse is Australia's leading kitchenware retailer, with a passionate community of home cooks and food lovers nationwide.
We are in an exciting phase of growth and are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Head of Social to build and scale social into a high-performing profit centre — what we are doing currently is working, but we want someone to take it to the next level.
This is a rare opportunity to lead and evolve a Perth-based social content studio while using creative excellence to drive measurable commercial impact.
As Head of Social, you will own the end-to-end social strategy — from creative ideation and content production through to paid media performance and revenue growth.
You will lead and scale an in-house team currently made up of 2 x Social Content Creators and 1 x Social Media Manager, supported by our Performance Marketing Manager.
Your mandate is clear:
Scale paid social efficiently, unlock creative performance, and maximise Meta and TikTok's commercial contribution.
This role reports into the Chief Customer Officer and will play a key part in shaping the future of our brand and performance marketing ecosystem.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
* Develop and execute a best-in-class paid social strategy aligned to revenue and profit targets
* Bring creative thinking to lead the development of highly engaging content
* Scale social as a performance channel with clear ROAS and contribution metrics
* Identify new growth opportunities across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and emerging platforms
* Own forecasting, budgeting and channel optimisation
Creative & Content Studio Leadership
* Build and refine an in-house social content studio model
* Develop high-performing creative frameworks that balance brand and performance
* Lead content strategy across organic and paid
* Establish testing roadmaps and creative experimentation processes
* Drive a strong test-and-learn culture
Performance & Optimisation
* Partner closely with our Performance Marketing Manager to continuously improve CPA, ROAS and incrementality
* Implement structured testing methodologies (creative, audience, placements)
* Leverage data to inform content production and media investment
Team Leadership
* Inspire, mentor and develop a young, high-performing in-house social team
* Foster collaboration between content creation and performance disciplines
* Elevate capability across social storytelling, UGC, creator partnerships and paid optimisation
ABOUT YOU:
* 7+ years' experience in social media, with deep expertise in paid social performance
* Proven experience building or scaling an in-house social content studio
* Strong commercial acumen — you understand revenue, contribution margin and profitability
* Demonstrated ability to drive ROAS growth at scale in retail or eCommerce
* Deep social platform knowledge
* Strong creative instinct and proven creative pedigree
* Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams
* Retail or DTC experience highly regarded
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
* Commercial Impact – scaling the revenue and profit contribution of our social channels, driving efficiencies and optimisation as spend grows, using a mix of art and science to drive ROAS and CPA improvements
* Content engine performance – grow the volume of content outputted each month, grow the percentage of revenue generated by new creative each month, implement a structured testing roadmap to improve key creative metrics such as CTR and view-through rate
* Channel & Platform leadership – diversification beyond Meta into TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube. Social activity to feed into broader marketing ecosystem (CRM, website, merchandising)
* Team & Capability growth – reduced reliance on external creators, faster production cycles.
