About the Opportunity
Bankstown Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Level 1‑2 Social Worker to join our dedicated team and contribute to delivering high‑quality care for patients and families. Applicants with experience in Emergency, Paediatrics, Neonatal, Maternity, Obstetrics, Gynaecology or Women's and Children's Health—including DCJ experience—are encouraged to apply. The role will provide psychosocial support across diverse clinical areas, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient‑centred care.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide psychosocial assessment, care planning and support to patients and families in high‑pressure environments such as Emergency and Paediatrics. Work closely with medical staff, nurses and allied health professionals to coordinate discharge planning and community referrals. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, code of practice compliance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Registered social worker with current NSW registration.
* Minimum 1‑2 years clinical social work experience, preferably in acute or paediatric settings.
* Strong communication, assessment and crisis intervention skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
