Synergie Australia is seeking a Civil Construction Supervisor to join our clients team based in Darwin, NT.
What you will be required to do:
* Supervise and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and plant to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
* Promote and enforce compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards across site operations.
* Implement and maintain project systems, processes, and procedures to effectively manage risk and drive operational efficiency.
* Develop and present weekly construction programs to track progress, identify potential issues, and keep projects on schedule.
* Oversee the procurement and utilisation of materials, equipment, and services to ensure they meet required HSEQ and project standards.
* Provide practical input to the estimating team to improve construction methodologies and support accurate project costing.
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
* Demonstrate leadership through clear communication, sound decision-making, and adherence to industry best practices.
* Monitor the performance of employees and subcontractors, addressing issues promptly and escalating where necessary.
* Stay informed of industry developments, client expectations, and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
To be successful in the role you will need:
* Demonstrated experience in a Site Supervisor or comparable leadership role within the civil construction industry.
* Proven background delivering technically complex civil projects, including residential and commercial subdivisions.
* Comprehensive understanding of civil construction methodologies, processes, and materials.
* Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Well-developed problem-solving abilities and confidence in making sound decisions under pressure.
* Solid knowledge of applicable industry regulations, standards, and best-practice requirements.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate multiple responsibilities effectively.
