We're looking for a hands-on, motivated Retail Food Service Assistant Manager to lead daily operations at our busy roadhouse and food service venue. This is a dynamic role that combines leadership, customer service, front-of-house duties, and team development. Candidates must have 1-2 years of hospitality or food service management experience.
A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily front-of-house activities with a focus on exceptional service
- Maintain high standards of hygiene across dining spaces, roadhouse, and truckie amenities
- Maintaining inventory and stock control
- Support the growth of new and current staff through training and skill development
- Reconciliation of accounts and daily financial reports
- Provide frontline support to customers and staff, handling questions and concerns with care
- Oversee planning and execution of events and functions
- Manage and ensure the accuracy and currency of food safety records
- Coordinate kitchen staff in meal preparation and service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Create and oversee weekly rosters, maintaining adequate staffing levels
- Maintain flexible schedule availability to meet operational requirements
- Ensure food handling practices meet safety regulations
