Intermediate/Senior Accountant - Accounting, Taxation & Business Advisory
Bartons, an esteemed boutique Chartered Accounting and Wealth Advisory business established in 1965, is currently expanding its team.
Join our organisation, known for its fully integrated services in Business Advisory, Tax, Wealth Management, Risk Protection, and Lending.
We currently have two positions available: one at the Intermediate Accountant level and another at the Senior Accountant level.
Intermediate Accountant
As part of our planned growth in the Business Services Division, we seek an experienced Intermediate Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role will primarily focus on providing taxation services, accounting support, compliance, and business advice to a diverse range of business enterprises and individual clients.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
* Provide accounting, taxation, and advisory advice to clients.
* Prepare financial accounts and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
* Generate periodic management accounts and BAS.
Qualifications:
* Superior understanding of income tax and the Australian tax system.
* Experience with software packages such as Xero, MYOB, and XPM/FYI Docs.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an accountant in a professional services firm.
* Bachelor's degree and working towards CA, CPA, or CTA designation.
Senior Accountant
We also seek an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in leading and managing client engagements, providing high‐level accounting, taxation, and advisory services. You will mentor and guide junior team members while contributing to the growth and success of our business.
Qualifications:
* Strong foundation in accounting, taxation, and advisory services.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Extensive experience with software packages such as Xero, MYOB, and XPM/FYI Docs.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant in a professional services firm.
* Bachelor's degree and CA, CPA, or CTA designation.
