Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is seeking a female Disability Support Worker to provide personalised, community‐based support to a 25‐year‐old male living with cerebral palsy in Tylden, VIC.
This role focuses on helping the client lead an active, fulfilling life by supporting his interests, independence, and goals. He enjoys outdoor activities such as walks, picnics, beach and pool visits, attending Scouts, visiting the men's shed, listening to music, and spending quality time in the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting in‐home therapies and exercise programs
* Cooking and meal preparation
* Personal care assistance, including showering and dressing (with 2:1 support alongside a family member where required)
* Driving the family's modified vehicle to attend appointments and access community activities
About You
You are a compassionate and reliable support worker who values person‐centred care. Ideally, you will have experience in the disability sector and enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. You hold a current full/open driver's licence and are comfortable driving a modified vehicle.
Experience or willingness to learn how to support communication via eye‐gaze technology will be highly regarded. Strong communication skills, professionalism in the family home, and a genuine commitment to improving quality of life are essential.
Availability & Requirements
* Available for regular weekday shifts between 9:00am and 3:30pm
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Physical capacity to perform required duties
* Flexible, detail‐oriented, and adaptable approach
What We Offer
* Casual employment under SHADS Home Care Award, with regular ongoing shifts
* Pay rate of $37.60 per hour + shift penalty rates + super
* Salary packaging available (up to $15,900 tax‐free per year)
