Our Team
Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. We invest heavily in research and development, creating high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems.
This position puts you at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry, providing constant opportunities to develop your technical expertise.
Your Role
You'll work at our site in Mulwala on Yorta Yorta land, learning on the job and studying to gain your Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
You'll learn key skills such as:
* Conducting preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities on equipment
* Repairing, overhauling and testing equipment, and performing installations
* Interpreting drawings and sketches, and working according to a predetermined maintenance schedule
* Completing risk assessments and identifying underperforming plant equipment for further analysis

Your Experience
The most important attribute for this role is a great attitude and willingness to learn.
You'll also need:
* To have completed year 11 studies at a minimum (by the end of 2024)
* Great communication skills and the ability to interact with different groups of people
* To be able to complete maths problems and apply them in the workplace
* We consider transfers of 1/2/3rd year apprentices as well as school leavers
