The Assistant People & Talent Manager will be part of the Global People & Talent (P&T) Team, exclusively supporting the APAC Team. We are currently working in a hybrid model with 2 days/week from the office, and the remainder from home.

You will combine the office management skills of a professional assistant with some experience as an HR Assistant, Associate or Coordinator. This role would be suitable for someone who has 1-3 years experience working in office settings. This is an exciting new role supporting a growing team
As Assistant People & Talent Manager, you will support the day to day running of the APAC team, the Sydney office, and play a role supporting aid programs in our project portfolio across Asia Pacific region.
There is no one typical day in this role; however you will be tasked with the following and more:
- Manage HR administration including contracting, onboarding, and record management
- Assist the Senior People & Talent Manager with policy updates and implementation
- Assist with corporate recruitments for APAC
- Support the APAC team with clerical, coordination, and administrative support, including responding to first-level HR queries
- Manage and maintain office equipment, asset registers, and protocols
- Lead on Workplace Health & Safety initiatives and requirements
- Coordinate team events, activities and training
- Relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working in an office setting, preferably in providing high quality human resources administration and support
- Current knowledge of Work Health & Safety practices and requirements
- High level technology skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulous organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to listen with supreme discretion balanced with assertiveness and integrity
- Highly developed communication skills (both verbal and written), with a consultative approach to addressing issues
- Ability to effectively and accurately prioritise tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively, influence decisions and negotiate
- Proactive mindset and initiative to take innovative and flexible approaches to tasks and troubleshooting
