About the Role

Are you ready to make a real difference in rural healthcare? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Sonographer to join our dedicated Medical Imaging team at Leongatha Memorial Hospital and Korumburra Hospital. Ideally, this is a full-time position however flexible working arrangement or part-time hours will be considered. You will be an integral member of the Medical Imaging Department, supported by experienced Sonographers and a team of exceptional Radiologists from the Imaging Associates Group. Your primary responsibility will be the provision of high-quality ultrasound services to the South Gippsland community. You will report directly to the Medical Imaging Manager. The Medical Imaging Department is situated over two campuses and provides CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, and bone densitometry at Leongatha. A satellite department is located at Korumburra and provides X-ray and ultrasound services. Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to participate in the education of Student Sonographers. This role provides you with the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a friendly and supportive environment. A full range of ultrasound examinations are performed including 3D obstetrics and gynaecology, liver elastography, vascular ultrasound, MSK ultrasound and interventional procedures. The equipment is state-of-the-art and includes two new Philips Epiq Elite systems and a Canon Aplio 500 machines.

Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality ultrasound services to the community across the two campuses.
* Collaborate with Radiologists and the Clinical team to deliver accurate imaging.
* Participate in the education and mentorship of Student Sonographers.
* Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and privacy laws.
* Support the department's CT, X-ray, mammography and bone densitometry services as required.
Requirements
* Completed a Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Medical Ultrasound and registration with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
* Valid Police Check within 12 months of issue date.
* Current Working with Children's check.
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
* Entitlement to work within Australia.
* Provision of NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
* Seasonal influenza vaccination as per Department of Health Directions.
* New Graduate Sonographers are encouraged to apply.
