Applications are warmly invited for the position of Head of Boarding at Ballarat Grammar. This position is responsible for the strategic direction, culture and operations of the School's boarding program.
Description
This is a highly visible leadership position, providing oversight of:
* Student care, wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding in a residential setting
* Leadership and development of Heads of Boarding Houses and boarding staff
* Boarding culture, community engagement and student voice
* Risk management, compliance and Child Safe Standards
* Operational coordination, staffing, budgeting and boarding programs
The Head of Boarding works closely with the Head of Middle School, Head of Senior School, Student Wellbeing teams, Chaplaincy and wider school leaders to ensure a coherent, student-centred and child-safe approach across day and boarding contexts.

Skills And Experiences
You will be an experienced boarding or residential leader who:
* Demonstrates a deep commitment to child safety and student wellbeing
* Has significant experience leading within a school boarding environment
* Leads with warmth, clarity, accountability and integrity
* Builds strong, trusting relationships with students, staff and families
* Is confident managing complex wellbeing, behavioural and pastoral matters
* Aligns strongly with Ballarat Grammar's values and Christian ethos
VIT registration is required. Qualifications in student wellbeing, pastoral care or educational leadership are highly regarded.
Commencement: Term 3 (July 2026) or as negotiated.
