 
        
        The **Supplier Development Manager (SD Manager) **supports Isolation Valves business by improving the Supply Chain performance from a Cost, Speed, Delivery and Cash perspective and has the responsibility of assessing and developing the suppliers to enable them to deliver the level of performance required by our Customers. 
The successful incumbent will work directly with suppliers using Perfect Execution concepts and structured problem solving to implement improvement programs and will also work closely with Product Supply Chain Leaders, Buyers, Material Managers and Quality **.** 
**Key Responsibilities: 
- Set and reinforce standards for a safe work environment 
- Implement Supplier Development Strategy to achieve business objectives for On Time Delivery, Speed, Quality, and Flexibility 
- Responsible for assessing supplier capabilities to ensure supplier can reach the level of performance, capability and capacity required to meet our business needs 
- Identify opportunities, develop plans and timelines with existing suppliers to improve their ability to meet the required performance 
- Monitor key performance indicators, RDSL and DPPM- Initiate development program on TOP RDSL suppliers. Support chronic DPPM issues to Plant QA. Support Global Supplier Quality in case of chronic issues escalation. 
- Implement project plans to fix performance issues and works both with the suppliers and with plants 
- Analyzes site forecast provided to critical suppliers and keep close communication with Operations as well as the supplier to identify programs necessary to maintain supplier performance (stocking program opportunities, adjust suppliers’ capacities, etc.) 
- Drive Lead Time reduction programs (by proposing stocking program implementation, late customization, minimum batch quantity, supplier process improvement, etc) 
- Actively participate in the monthly Buyer Report Out meeting to support P⁣ managers, buyer/planners and quality managers through quick resolution of escalated / repetitive supplier delivery and quality issues, including roots causes countermeasures (RCCM), and long term effective corrective actions. 
- Creates monthly reports, prepares presentations and management updates concerning progress of TOP Problem suppliers 
- Attend Quality Audits at supplier, establish corrective action plans with suppliers and follow up working closely with the Site Quality Manager 
- Ensure Suppliers are trained in Structured Problem Solving, Lean & Six Sigma and that Supplier management is committed to the use of these tools 
- Manages the Grow-Maintain-Exit supplier strategy 
- Plan how to “GROW the GROW suppliers” 
- Identifies supplier consolidation initiatives 
- Authorizes / denies approval to new supplier introduction 
- Provide updated market intelligence by conducting category specific competitor and industry analysis to identify new sources, new materials and new manufacturing techniques or technologies to improve the company’s competitive position. 
**Skills & Experience Required** 
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering. 
- Minimum 10-12 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Lean Deployment, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality Assurance. 
- Experience in building and improving suppliers’ performance. 
- Knowledge on mechanical component manufacturing Process (desirable) 
- Supply Base knowledge for Valve Industry in Australia or APAC region (desirable) 
- Strong negotiation (internally and externally) and project management skills 
- Capability in planning and analytics, structured problem solving, facilitating and presentation skills 
- Six sigma black belt (desirable) 
- Experience with ERPs, preferably with SAP or Oracle in planning and/or purchasing (desirable)
