We are seeking an experienced professional to support our State Government client on a short-term engagement. This is a fantastic chance to make an immediate impact by shaping our client's future project management capability.
- Based in Melbourne
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8 AM–5 PM (negotiable). On-site presence required Tuesdays and Thursdays.

About the role:
Your primary responsibility will be to complete a structured solutions assessment for a replacement project management tool. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and recommending the most suitable project management tool for our client’s future needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a structured desktop assessment of TechOne, Altus, and Microsoft Suite (Planner, Project for the Web, Power Platform) against business requirements.
- Liaising with stakeholders across the department to understand impacts and ensure alignment.
- Considering compatibility with solutions used across other Government agencies.
- Recommending a preferred solution
- Assisting in the design of an implementation plan for the recommended solution.
- Supporting additional activities as directed
About you:
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Strong experience in project management tools evaluation and implementation.
- Ability to conduct structured assessments and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Understanding of government or public sector IT solutions (desirable).
- A proactive, analytical, and outcomes-focused approach.
- Familiarity with Altus and TechOne systems.
- Candidate must be able to deliver clear recommendations and a practical implementation plan.
