Practice Manager - General Practice

The practice holds full accreditation in line with RACGP 5th Edition Standards, demonstrating a commitment to quality and excellence in patient care.


Responsibilities

* Support the efficient daily operations of the medical centre.
* Oversee daily clinics ensuring diary management, cancellations documentation, recalls, and final billing reconciliation.
* Provide leadership and oversight to Medical Receptionists and Nurses.
* Assist Medical Practitioners with administrative tasks to ensure excellence in patient care.
* Manage staff rosters and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
* Prepare and submit accurate timesheets for payroll.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all clinic equipment and assist its practical use.
* Keep up‑to‑date with MBS billing requirements and processes.
* Maintain current knowledge of General Practice Accreditation standards.
* Ensure compliance with RACGP 5th Edition Standards for General Practice.
* Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
* Manage any patient complaints in a timely and considered manner.
* Prepare timely and meaningful financial reports for the support office.
* Oversee PIP and WIP practice streams, including maintenance, reporting and updates.


Qualifications

* Previous experience in a General Practice setting; Practice Management experience highly regarded.
* Strong working knowledge of computerised practice management software (Pracsoft, Medical Director).
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* High‑level interpersonal skills; ability to build positive relationships with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
* Professional personal presentation and a warm, cheerful attitude.
* Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a small, supportive team.

Remuneration
