About the position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part Time Medical Receptionist to join our team at Medi7 Mooroolbark. This role is perfect for a person who has great attention to detail, high-level communication skills, and a 'can-do' attitude.
As the first point of contact for patients and referring doctors, our ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in a professional and friendly manner, and support the efficient operation of the day-to-day functions of the Clinic.
Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone
* Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records
* Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations
* Effective management of patient appointment types
* General administration and daily office duties
* Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager
* Fostering and encouraging a team environment with all members of the admin and clinical team
What you will bring
Due to its fast-paced environment, having previous medical reception experience is preferred, but not essential.
You will also:
* Have proven customer service experience
* Display empathy and understanding
* Understand client and staff confidentially
* Be able to prioritise tasks and manage time
