The Role
* Spearhead the delivery of high-profile, award-winning operable architecture projects
* Collaborate with visionaries and delivery partners to transform bold ideas into sustainable, enduring, and commercially sound outcomes
* Be a driving force in an interdisciplinary design practice, where you'll work on transformative projects that redefine cities and communities
* Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of design projects, from concept development to detailed design, procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning
* Manage the development and approval of design concepts, specifications and budgets, as well as the coordination of the design, manufacturing, and installation of all project-related products
* Develop and manage procurement strategies to improve company operations, including payment term negotiations and purchasing strategies
* Ensure staff resources are managed effectively during project execution, prioritising staff health and safety
* Manage the financial reporting obligations for all projects and develop and maintain client/supplier/manufacturer relationships
Skills and experience
You will be a self-starter who can motivate and influence others to drive better
outcomes. With high energy and a hands-on approach, you will have a sharp attention to
detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Strong interpersonal skills and a natural
ease with client relationships is key for this role, as is the ability to work confidently both
independently and within a team.
* A degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering disciplines, or a related field
* A minimum of 15 years' experience in mechanical engineering design, or design consultancy, with a demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale projects from concept to completion (architectural projects, operable architecture an advantage)
* Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to present to senior stakeholders
* Proficiency in either SolidWorks or Onshape
* Exceptional understanding of manufacturing and material opportunities
