This position works closely with and supports the Manager Clinical Regulation Policy and Licensing and Team Leader - Policy to efficiently and effectively lead, plan and coordinate the delivery of regulatory policy and legislative activities of the branch under the Controlled Substances Act 1984 (SA) and the Health Care Act 2008 (SA).
The key functions of this role include:
5. To plan, lead, co-ordinate and contribute to the implementation of branch wide projects.
6. Provide regulatory and policy advice, stakeholder management and project management services.
7. Contribute to the development of effective policy to support the clinical regulation of drugs of dependence and the licensing of private health facilities.

8. A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
9. A driver's licence (car class) is essential.
10. Out of hours and intra/interstate work, which may necessitate overnight stays, may be required.
11. The incumbent will be required to be part of the on-call weekend roster.
12. The incumbent may be required to assist in the provision of environmental health services to communities located in the more remote parts of South Australia.
Additionally, for PO3:
13. Appropriate Degree or relevant qualification in Science, such as, Environmental Health, Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science or Health Science.
