Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate educator for the position of Classroom Support Assistant (First Nations Education) to join our team at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Mackay. This is a term‐time contract position for 24 hpw, commencing immediately or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Selection Criteria
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and spiritualities.
* Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families and school staff to improve educational outcomes through targeted and direct academic support.

Mandatory Requirements
* Current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice.
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role safely.
