The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Advisor to join the team at our Duketon operations.
Reporting to the H&S; Superintendent, the Hygiene Advisor will ensure the safety and health of employees through the delivery of professional hygiene services, promotion and implementation of the Duketon Health Management Plan and support continuous monitoring of Occupational Hygiene initiatives across the Duketon Project
This is a site-based role working on a FIFO 8:6 roster.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Develop, implement and review the Duketon Health Management Plan
Develop, implement, review and take direct ownership of the Occupational Exposure Risk baseline site profiles across the Duketon Gold Project
Ensure the implementation of the proactive management of the Occupational Exposure Risk Management Plan
Providing specialist advice and support to key stakeholders on health and hygiene concerns
Implementing and maintaining occupational hygiene processes and procedures in line with regulatory and company requirements
Identify and evaluate worker exposure to occupational hygiene health hazards as per site risk-based monitoring plan
Educating, communicating and engaging with operational personnel on health hazard management
Participate in internal and external audits in compliance with regulations and company requirements
Manage and coordinate with all 3rd party contractor hygiene providers used across Duketon operations
Input data for monthly and quarterly Safety Regulation System (SRS) reporting requirements and submit action plans for any exceedances
Assisting with maintaining, auditing and updating the hazardous materials and dangerous goods register (ChemAlert), including chemical approvals for site
Keep up to date with legislative changes and industry trends
Managing industrial hygiene records in accordance with company requirements
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Hygiene or similar
Demonstrated experience within mining or heavy in similar role
Valid and current Manual C class Driver’s Licence
Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders
Computer literacy i.e. word processing, excel, data base etc.
