About Everyday Independence

With over 40 hubs across Australia, Everyday Independence is a dynamic allied health organisation committed to changing the game for people with disabilities. Working in the social model, our united team of talented change makers is on a mission to make inclusion possible for all Australians.

As one of the Australia's largest therapy providers, Everyday Independence is growing with confidence and welcoming passionate, purpose driven practitioners who want to make a real impact. At Everyday Independence, you'll find job stability, structured mentoring and supervision, continuous learning and professional development, career pathways and a values-driven culture.

About The Role

We are looking for Key Workers to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0‐8) and their families that lead to positive, life‐changing outcomes. Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants.

As a Key Worker at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:

* Worked and delivered therapy in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres
* Attended a family's home to conduct their initial appointment, utilizing assessment and communication skills to understand the child and goals
* Collaborated with a kindergarten teacher to support a child in developing motor skills
* Coached parents through finding a school that best suits their young child's needs
* Collaborated with a Speech Pathologist and family members to support a child in developing communication and social skills
* Built meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
* Documented and billed each session through our online participant management system
* Provided support for a 5‐year‐old after school to establish consistent routines
* Attended the weekly team meeting in the hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
* Met with a Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into clinical knowledge and support
* Participated in an online mentoring session to build knowledge of using Assistive Technology and behavioural support strategies

Who We Are Looking For

At Everyday Independence, our team thrives on shared values and a collaborative spirit. To work as a Key Worker, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.

* Occupational Therapist – degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
* Physiotherapist – degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
* Speech Pathologist – degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
* Educator – Bachelor or Master's degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Special Education
* Social Worker – Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membership

You will also need:

* Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0‐8) and their families
* Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
* A positive and flexible approach to work
* Strong communication skills and teamwork
* Commitment to personal and professional growth
